Battery Issues
To start with, there’s no need to worry about over-discharging your battery from riding. We have designed the system to always stay within a safe operating range while in use. Battery Management System (BMS) properly protects the battery from overheat, over-discharge, overcharge, overcurrent, shortage, and disconnect during operation and charging process.
What is strongly recommended
Charge your Boost Fin at least once a month even if not in use.
We always prompt our customers to charge the battery regularly especially not in season. Leaving the device uncharged may lead to the battery hybernation state, usually it cannot be fixed at home and we have to return the devices for repair in our labs. Please stay tuned with our newsletters and push-notifications, we'll remind you to take proper care of your Boost to avoid further possible issues.
Do not store your battery for long periods of time while it is on a low charge.
Lithium batteries naturally self-discharge and may suffer damage if left for long periods without a charge.
If the Boost Fin doesn't turn on (although it may show you full battery level – green light indicator), just leave it on charge for more than 24 hours.
