How to Install a Boost Fin

The installation of the device is very quick, no drilling is needed☺️

Install the Longboard Adapter (US Fin Box) to your surfboard

1. The Longboard Adapter comes pre-attached, so to begin the installation process, you'll need to unscrew the adapter using the screwdriver provided.
2. Decide whether to use the top or bottom hole for the metal pin. Note that the bottom hole is specifically designed for deep fin boxes.
3. Carefully push the adapter into the fin box until it is securely seated.
4. Use the provided screw to fasten the adapter firmly in place within the fin box.

Attach a Boost Fin to an adapter properly

To ensure a smooth and hassle-free experience when attaching your Boost Fin to the adapter, follow these steps:

Align the adapter

Before screwing in the fin, make sure the adapter is properly aligned. This means ensuring that the threads on the adapter and fin align smoothly without any friction or misalignment.

Gentle handling

Once the adapter is aligned, there should be no need to apply force when screwing in the screws. It should be as easy as turning the screw between your fingers. Avoid using excessive force, as this can damage the screws or adapter holes.

Overcoming resistance

If you encounter resistance while screwing in the screws, gently push the fin downward or to the sides. This will help you find the 'smooth point' where the screws can be easily turned. Take your time and be patient to avoid any damage.

For smoother insertion of the screws into the adapter, we recommend using some anti-rust spray or lube. This will reduce friction and make the process even easier.

Remember, proper alignment and gentle handling are key to avoiding damage and ensuring a seamless attachment of your Boost Fin to the adapter.
